SOCA will be offering a full Spring 2026 season for the Adult Leagues.
This Spring 2026 we are offering Premier 11v11, Co-Rec 11v11, Unrestricted 11v11, Over-40 8v8 Competitive, Women's 8v8, Women's Futsal 5v5 & Co-Rec Futsal 5v5!

SOCA Adult Premier League (11v11)

SOCA’s Premier League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. Typically, this is the most competitive level of adult play. Normally, the league is broken into multiple divisions (2-3) based upon ability and the number of teams registered. The season consists of approximately 8-10 matches over the course of the season.
The season begins March 1st, 2026 and concludes May 10th, 2026 when a champion is crowned. There are separate fall and spring seasons which are independent of one another and require separate registrations. Standings are maintained each season and a post-season playoff typically determines the champion. The number of games in league play will vary based upon division sizes and league format. Player experience varies from novice to experienced players.
Games are played primarily on Sundays with some Saturday games as well. Three officials are provided for each Premier match and teams play 11v11. Each team determines practice requirements, if any.
Need a minimum of 16 players registered.

SOCA Adult Co-Recreational League (11v11)

The Co-Recreational League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area. Typically this league is a less competitive environment than the Premier League. Normally, the league is broken into multiple divisions (2-4) based upon ability and the number of teams registered. The season consists of approximately 8-10 matches over the course of the season.
The season begins March 1st, 2026 and concludes May 10th, 2026 when a champion is crowned.
The deadline for TEAMS to register is Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.
Teams must have a minimum of 3 women on the field of play at all times.
Teams must have a minimum of 16 players on the team to be viable.
Teams play separate Fall and Spring Seasons with each season composed of approximately 8-10 league matches. Teams may choose to enter into either the Fall or Spring Seasons or both. Player experience varies from novice to experienced players. Games are primarily on Sundays with some Saturday games as well. One official is provided for each match and teams play 11v11. Each team determines practice requirements, if any.

SOCA Adult Unrestricted League (11v11)

The SOCA Fall 2026 Unrestricted Recreational League is a Recreational League that consists of teams of a variety of skill levels from advanced to recreational. Although women are encouraged and eligible to play, there is no quota for women on a team and teams are primarily male. All interested Unrestricted teams should register under this program; further subdivision will be based upon previous participation and actual registration. SOCA will be in contact with Team Captains to address team placement.
The season consists of approximately 8-10 matches over the course of the season.

SOCA Adult Over-40 (8v8) Competitive League

SOCA’s Over-40 League is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville-Albemarle area over the age of 40.
All players in the Program must be born prior to the date of March 1st, 1986. No exceptions. Players born after March 1st, 1986, are not eligible to play in the Program this season. The league is designed to give older players an opportunity to play against peers and the focus is on clean, fun, competitive play.
Teams play separate Fall and Spring Seasons with each season composed of approximately nine league matches. Teams may choose to enter into either the Fall or Spring Seasons or both. Players in this league are experienced players.
Games are on Sunday afternoons. One official is provided for each match and teams play 8v8 on reduced size fields. (Tandem Fields) Each team determines practice requirements.
The season begins March 1st, 2026 and concludes May 10th, 2026 when a champion is crowned. Need a minimum of 12 players registered.

SOCA Adult 8v8 Women's League (Sunday Afternoons)

The league plays a 8v8 format with 7 field players and a goalkeeper. Spring 2026 games will be played on SUNDAY afternoons (1:00 pm - 4:00 pm).
Games will be played on a modified field: Monticello HS Grass - Back/Top Field - TBD
A single referee is used to officiate the matches. Halves will be 35 minutes.
The first match is on March 1st, 2026 and concludes May 10th, 2026 each team plays a minimum of 8 games. The cost to play is $89.00 per player.
No games will be played after May 10th, 2026.
No Slide Tackling Allowed.
The deadline for TEAMS to register is Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.
The minimum roster size allowed is 12 players. You must have 12 registered players by Tuesday, February 10th, 2026 to be considered a viable team in the league.
If you have less than 12 we will attempt to add independent players or merge you with another team if possible.
SPECIAL NOTE TO TEAM CAPTAINS: Any player registering for a SOCA Adult League program MUST be at least 16 years of age. If a player is under 18, but at least 16 years of age, they may register for Adult League play provided they have parental consent. Please instruct 16 and 17 year old to contact the SOCA office directly to register for a team.

The SOCA Adult “Futsal-Style” Indoor Soccer League is an exciting way to keep playing soccer throughout the year. The league plays a 5 v 5 format with 4 field players and a goalkeeper.
Spring 2026 games will be played on Wednesday Evenings in the SOCA Field House at 875 Belvedere Blvd. Games will be played under modified Futsal rules with an official Futsal ball to create a fast, exciting and technical game. A single referee is used to officiate the matches. Times are expected to be Wednesday evenings.
The first match is on March 4th, 2026 and concludes May 13th, 2026 and each team plays a minimum of 8 games. The cost to play is $89 per player. The deadline for TEAMS to register is Tuesday, February 3rd, 2026.
The minimum roster size allowed is 8 players. You must have 8 registered players by Tuesday, February 10th, 2026, to be considered a viable team in the league. If you have less than 8 we will attempt to add independent players or merge you with another team if possible.
