Futsal, the international indoor soccer game of choice is a fast paced and skill driven version of the outdoor game we all love. Players are not only tested physically by the pace of the match but also technically by the naturally reduced dimensions of the indoor space. Goals are plenty and foot skills are at a premium.

The Premier League is open to all men and women in Charlottesville and the surrounding area. Typically, the Premier League is the most competitive winter league and may be broken into multiple divisions based upon ability. Teams may be carried over from the fall season, or new teams may enter.
Independent players should register via the Independent Player Code.
Play begins in early January and concludes at the end of February. First scheduled games will be on 01/02/2025 Thursday. Games are played on Weekday evenings. All matches are held at the SOCA Field House at 875 Belvedere Boulevard on a traditional Futsal court surface.
The Futsal format is 5v5 including a goalkeeper, played to court lines. Modified Futsal rules will be used, with a certified referee assigned to every match. Team Roster minimum is 8 players.

The Co-Recreational (Futsal) league is open to all men and women in the Charlottesville Albemarle area. Typically, the Co-Recreational League is the least competitive winter league and may be broken into multiple divisions based upon ability.
Teams must have a minimum of one woman on the court at all times. Teams may be carried over from the fall season, or new teams may enter. Independent/Free Agent players should register using the independent player the code for this program (on the right side).
Play begins in early January and concludes at the end of February. First scheduled games will be on 01/02/2025 Thursday. Games are played on Weekday evenings on an artificial turf surface. All matches are held at the SOCA Field House at 875 Belvedere Boulevard.

The SOCA Unrestricted Recreational League is a Recreational League that consists of teams of a variety of skill levels from advanced to recreational. Although women are encouraged and eligible to play, there is no quota for women on a team and teams are primarily male. All interested Unrestricted teams should register under this program; further subdivision will be based upon previous participation and actual registration. SOCA will be in contact with Team Captains to address team placement.
The first week of play is January 1-5. First scheduled games will be on 01/02/2025 Thursday. Games are played throughout January and February. Each team plays a minimum of 7 games. Games are played on Weekday evenings on an artificial turf surface. All matches are held at the SOCA Field House at 875 Belvedere Boulevard.
The minimum roster size allowed is 8 players. You must have 8 registered players by Tuesday, December 3, 2024, to be considered a viable team in the league. If you have less than 8 we will attempt to merge you with another team if possible.

Players in the Over 40 division must be 40 years of age or born before January 1, 1985, no exceptions. Teams may be carried over from the fall season, or new teams may enter. Independent players may register through the Independent Player Code.
