With fall season league play drawing to a close, eleven SOCA Travel teams spent the November 16-18 weekend competing at tournament and showcase events.

Six girls Elite teams, U14 to U19, headed to the regionally prominent Bethesda Premier Cup in Maryland, where they posted an impressive record.  The U16’s finished first with an undefeated record, and the U17’s also claimed top spot in their showcase group.  The U14’s played in a tournament format where they went undefeated and advanced to the final before dropping a close decision.

Five SOCA-Charlottesville Classic teams headed to the south side of Virginia where they competed in the Martinsville-based Piedmont Shootout, facing opponents from throughout Virginia and North Carolina.

The SOCA-Charlottesville U12 Girls Classic squad won a dramatic 2-1 final to win their division over the High Country Avalanche from North Carolina.

The U12 Boys Classic and the U13 Boys classic White teams both advanced from their group to the championship match before falling in the final.
