The SOCA winter indoor season officially kicked off at the SOCA Field House over the December 11/12 weekend in the Winter Classic tournament with 23 teams competing in a futsal-style competition in four separate divisions.  Technical skill, fast thinking and cleverness were at a premium throughout the event as teams sought to solve the unique challenges indicative of high quality indoor play.

Saturday saw the Boys/Co-ed divisions (U10, U12 and U15) battle for indoor supremacy prior to the holiday break.   The Field House was rockin’ all day as 17 teams tested their skills and savvy chasing age group championships.

The excitement continued on Sunday when the Girls took over the venue with six U12 Division squads in hot pursuit of that title.

The SOCA Field House was the perfect setting featuring state-of-the-art turf, a carefully designed layout enabling multi-field use and a viewing mezzanine for spectators and supporters.  The Winter Classic provides an exciting bridge from the fall outdoor season to the indoor activities which will fill the SOCA calendar in January and early February.
