In recent tournament action at the Ultimate Cup in Richmond, SOCA claimed top prizes with both boys and girls teams winning their divisions.

On February 21, the U12 Boys Classic Blue, led by Coach Bobby Lutz, took first place in their division with a narrow 1-0 victory over Smithfield Arsenal of Virginia.  The U15 Boys Classic squad finished in second place in their group after advancing to the final match.

In girl’s action over the February 27/28 weekend, SOCA U13 Premier Girls romped to an undefeated record and cruised to a 7-0 championship match win under the guidance of Coach Greg Lavin.  Also claiming gold that weekend were the Skyline Elite U19 girls, with a 2-1 final victory over Richmond Kickers.  Sweeping three straight wins in group play, the U11 Premier Girls took second place after dropping the final by the narrowest of 0-1 margins.

Tournament play continues throughout March with SOCA Apprentice and Skyline Elite teams attending the Jefferson Cup on various weekends.
