SOCA Elite kicked off the fall 2019 State Cup campaign with a single match on Saturday, September 14.  The U15 Elite Girls topped Virginia Legacy in a well-played and deserved 1-0 win at the WAHS stadium field.

Stella Steigler provided the game winner at about the 30 minute mark, and the local defense did the rest of the work to see the one goal margin stand.

Coach Jason Moore felt the margin could have been larger, but gave full credit to his squad for a comprehensive performance against a difficult opponent.  Sophie Hoke received special praise for her goal line clearance, which preserved the victory.

The U15’s will next face FC Richmond on September 28.
